What Differentiates Effective Skin Care Products From Ineffective Ones?

Do you know the ill effects of using chemical laden creams? The chemical based skin care products are extremely harsh for the skin and in many cases; they have resulted into severe side effects.
While choosing skin care products, make sure to check the list of ingredients. Here is a list of chemicals which are usually found in many chemical laden creams and should be strictly avoided:
1) Parabens - they are effective preservatives and are used by the companies to increase the shelf life of their skin care products. But recent studies have established the connection between parabens and breast cancer!
2) Fragrances - though they are treated as the unique selling point for some products, but the truth is these are dangerous chemicals that can cause severe irritation to your skin. Many of the chemicals used in fragrances are toxic in nature and they too are known to cause cancer.
3) Mineral oil - it is a by product of gasoline. Though it is used in various moisturizers, the problem with this oil is that it makes skin dependent on it and hence ends up making it even drier.
Petrolatum, dioxane, phenol carbolic acid are other such chemicals which are present in many creams but have numerous side effects. Prolonged usage of such creams can lead to side effects ranging from redness, dryness, itchiness to serious skin allergies.
I personally do not prefer such harsh creams which provide temporarily relief from one skin problem but as a side effect, introduce further skin issues. Being a passionate advocate of natural products, I recommend the use of natural skin care products.
These natural creams and lotions contain natural herbs which are powerful to cure the skin problems from within and provide permanent and lasting results.
